Mini stuff

This is a little sampling of my mini book of "stuff". Some of the things I loved growing up. It was just a fun little project. There are a few more pages...of smurfs and scratch n sniff stickers, etc...but this gives you the idea. I think I would like to add some more. Hope everyone has a good holiday.

I'm sooooo ExciTEd!!! I won the Gauntlet at the Scrapperie!! This was my last LO for the final round! I've never won anything scrappy before! So cool. It also makes me a Tres Chic girl on their Design Team. It has been such a fun experience. Very very excited!

Meet my new best friend. This little sweetie was sitting on my porch yesterday. He didn't know how to fly and all of his owl friends were waiting up in the trees cheering him on. He eventually CLIMBED up the huge tree to safety. There were a couple of scary moments...like when he went into the street and my neighbor and I had to push him back to the side...stopping traffic for the precious guy. At one point he came right up to my door (the blurry photo) damn the screen! I was totally in love with him. I think maybe his home might have fell with the branch. But how cool that we have a whole bunch of owls living in our yard! Until I read that most ancient cultures say they are a sign of death!!!! EEKS...I'll go with the Hindu thoughts that if an owl is with you it means prosperity!! Hopefully this is last of my yard stories.

Last night this thing fell at about 2 a.m. just because it's old and we have a gazillion trees around our house. It's not very safe. It always happens when hubs is out of town so I have to call the electric company, insurance, tree, etc...Just glad it didn't fall on the house or our garage, or a person. So that's the start of my day...maybe I'll be more exciting later.

Made it through to the last round of the Gauntlet at Scrapperie. Only 7 people left. This was my LO for the last round. So fun to do. Hey have you seen the Sweet Spuds blog? She's giving away free stuff...go check it out! There's a peek for July up too...of course it looks awesome! And new kits are up at Kitty Robot. The photos above are a few I took at Big Fun (my favorite store in the world). Any toy you grew up with is there...all for sale. The most fun place...ever. A few of my faves. I took some more...I'll share later...cuz I did a mini of them.

Another Cosmo Cricket LO! This one was fun...I took dried paint and pealed it off and added it to my LO. I like the texture. I had the same pic that I used in my last mini in a 4x6 that I printed out...so I wanted to use it again. This LO is going up on my scraproom wall to remind me to take life less seriously (it's only life afterall)...Thank you Indigo Girls. AND now the winner of my RAK....is #72 Dorianne!!! The Sweet Spuds gallery is up! Here are my lovelies from June! It was full of fun! I'm pretty sure you don't want to miss out on July! I was excited to put these up...because of all the Cosmo Cricket goodness! The new Hello Sunshine line is soooo summery and fun! I love all the yellows and oranges and greens! I still have some to work with...so I'll be doing some of that later! OH yeah...speaking of summer good times...did I tell you that I went to the Jack Johnson concert Tuesday?? It was a great time...except for waiting for 2 1/2 hours to get IN to the concert! Crazy! I'll be putting up the winner of the RAK later tonight because I have some more to post!
